Welcome to the Silicon Valley Chapter of Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. & Canada), Inc. LES Silicon Valley Chapter provides many networking opportunities with Business Executives, Lawyers, Licensing Consultants, Engineers, Academicians, Scientists, and Representatives of Government.
LES Silicon Valley Chapter events include monthly luncheons with prominent and informative guest speakers from a variety of professional industries. Recent presentations have included speakers from Google, Intel, Samsung, Visa, Dolby, SAP, General Electric, Qualcomm, Hewlett-Packard, Electronic Arts, Panasonic, Hyundai and more.
The Mission of LES Silicon Valley Chapter is:
• To facilitate the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and information on licensing and intellectual property.
• To assist members in improving their skills and techniques in the practice of intellectual property licensing by delivering instructive and topical seminars and training courses.
• To be the voice of our local licensing community in public and governmental affairs to monitor changes in the law and the practice of licensing and protecting intellectual property.
• To further the objectives of the Licensing Executive Society.
About the Licensing Executives Society
Licensing Executives Society (LES) is a non-profit, professional society of more than 5,000 members in the US and Canada who are involved in the transfer, sale, use and development of intellectual property, including professionals in the fields of law, academics, science and technology, in both government and the private sector. LES USA/Canada is a chapter of LES International with 13,000 members in 97 countries.

Les Nouvelles is a leading technology transfer and licensing journal that is published quarterly by LES (USA and Canada) Inc. for LESI. Les Nouvelles includes articles on various licensing topics, upcoming LES and LESI meetings, and reports from member societies and committees. Viewpoints is the LES bi-monthly newsletter, containing up-to-date information on LES programs and activities.
